Dear Manassa Elementary Students and Parents,

2018-2019 school year at Manassa Elementary will be here before you know it!  Last year we made some changes in our schedule.  I was very please to see that it did indeed inprove attendance.  It was a longer day, but the extra day of break helped us rest up.  Thank you for making attandence a priority. I continue to beleive that this school is made up of a quality educational team that works together to promate acedemic growth of all learners.  Year after year we continue to work together to accomplish great things!  I feel so fortunate to be a part of this incredible program.  Thank you all for your support.  Together will will keep making great things happen.

Our school’s PARCC Scores will soon be in and I am very sure that the parents, students, and teachers can be very proud of the efforts made by the students of Manassa Elementary.  We will be providing parents with information on individual results and how we can work together to help our students achieve more academically.  The results for last year's third grade and fouth grade classes will be handed out during Parent Teacher Conferences in Septemebers.  It is these results the helped us recieve the School of Excellence Award from the Colorado Department of Education.

Our staffing patterns have once again changed this.  We have said,  "Good bye!" to Mr Randy Perea in our Special Education Department.  He is planning on Substitute Teaching (not every day he told us).  It is my pleasure to announce that filling position of Special Education Teacher at Manassa Elementary will be Mr Donald Jarvies.  Mr Jarvies has been a long time resident of Manassa Colorado and has children in our district! We are excited to welcome him to our staff.  This will be the only change in our building this year.

We look forward to the opportunity to teach your child.  Educating our youth can be challenging, however, with the help of our wonderful students and their families we work together to make Manassa Elementary a great place to learn!

We look forward to having your children at Manassa Elementary this year and truly value our partnership with you and your family.  If you have any further questions you can contact us at school (843-5277).

    Thank you,

    Denny Fringer
