Dear Manassa Elementary Students and Parents,

Time to think about the 2017-2018 school year at Manassa Elementary!  I truly can't believe that I am starting the 11th year as principal of Manassa Elementary. We have made some changes in our schedule but working together we will make these changes in a positive manner.  This is a school that is filled with the absolute best students and teachers.  We will continue to work together to make great things happen.  I feel so fortunate to be a part of this incredible program.  Thanks you all for making it great.

Our school’s PARCC Scores are in and again parents, students, and teachers can be very proud of the efforts made by our students.  Great job 4th and 5th grade students!  Manassa Elementary continues to score well above the state average on all assessments given in Science and Social Studies.  We will be providing parents with information on individual results and how we can work together to help our students achieve more academically.  The results for last year's third grade and fouth grade classes will be handed out during Parent Teacher Conferences in Septemebers.

Our staffing patterns have changed this year.  We have said  "Good bye" to two long time members of our staff (31 combined years of teaching).  Mrs. Annette Roybal and Mrs. Cynthia Cordova have started other journies in their lives and have retired.  We have also had Mrs Rosalie McGuire resign to pursue a career in nursing.  Miss. Heid Versaw will be our new Kindergarten teacher and Mrs Tami Valentine will be our new Music Teacher. Several staff members will have new positions in the school.  Mrs Lorrie Crather will now be the Computer Library teacher, Mrs. Lisa Salzar will now be in the Literacy Lab.  Mrs. Judy Bahr is now teaching Third Grade and Mrs Hannah Cary will be teaching First Grade.

We look forward to the opportunity to teach your child.  Educating our youth can be challenging, however, with the help of our wonderful students and their families we work together to make Manassa Elementary a great place to learn!

We look forward to having your children at Manassa Elementary this year and truly value our partnership with you and your family.  If you have any further questions you can contact us at school (843-5277).

    Thank you,

    Denny Fringer
