    Dear Manassa Elementary Students and Parents,

    The 2022-2023 school year is off to a great start.  We are all enjoying not having to have COVID restrictions and worrying about quarantining.  We have had an enormous number of challenges and distractions for the last few years. I continue to be very proud of our program, which has worked hard to overcome these challenges.  We have the very best students! We have awesome families with awesome kids.   

    Our school’s CMAS scores have been reported in August.  I am very proud of the efforts made by the students of Manassa Elementary.  The pandemic has caused many challenges and has resulted in the loss of some of our crucial foundational elements.  Our CMAS scores have identified some losses in our foundational learning.  We will need to work together as a group and rebuild the foundation that has promoted academic success for many years.  Even though our results were not as high as they typically have been, we were still rated as a "Performance" school.  This rating comes from the Colorado Department of Education Performance Frameworks.   We will use this data and our ratings to guide our program to work together to help our students grow.       

    We look forward to the opportunity to teach your child/children.  Educating our children is challenging and our commitment will continue to be to help raise great people. Our future depends on us working together to make great things happen. With the help of our wonderful students and their families, we will work together to make Manassa Elementary a great place to learn!   I am so fortunate to work with the students, families and staff that we have at Manassa Elementary.   If you have any further questions, you can contact us at school (843-5277).
