Falcons in the Community

We know that growth doesn't just occur inside the classroom. Our school strives to engage our students with members of our community allowing the students to connect, learn, and grow through service interactions. Here are a few ways our students engaged in our community this school year:

  • 8th grade students delivered bags of toys to the Alamosa Pediatric Department. The students wanted to help make a young child's day better because shots hurt, the students planned the project and raised the money for the toys.
  • Our leadership class baked cookies for the La Jara Senior Center and delivered Valentines cards to them.
  • 8th grade students visited Elk Creek and dismantled the old fire rings and replaced them with new ones which allowed for better accessibility for all people, as well as a cooktop. Students cleared old sites, planned the location for the new placement, dug anchor holes, poured concrete, and placed new stoves/fire pits in place.
