Welcome Mr. Perez! 

I have been teaching in an Alternative Program in the Philippines for more than 5 years. I worked with students as considered out-of-school youth under the non-formal educational program of the Department of Education. Moreover, I served in remote communities with low-income families such as Indigenous people having poor accessibility to quality education. The challenges of fulfilling the job were reaching out to students from the villages where parental support is minimal and students were exposed to poor sanitation and hygiene, their socio-economic status was challenging, and governmental support was limited.

 

I did helped students to get to school by search out them, purchase foods, shoes, and school supplies. I sponsored feeding program for undernourished students. Initiated advocacies to inculcate sanitation and life skills among learners in the community.
